Salesforce AI Associate Certification Retirement
effective February 2, 2026
Salesforce has announced the retirement of the AI Associate certification, effective February 2, 2026. This change coincides with the introduction of Agentblazer Status, which aims to enhance the certification offerings related to AI and Agentforce skills. Here’s what you need to know about this transition.
All existing AI Associate certifications will officially retire on February 2, 2026. After this date, your certification status will be updated to “Retired” on your Trailblazer profile.
Some key dates to remember:
The introduction of Agentblazer Status signifies a shift towards more robust methods of recognizing and developing AI and Agentforce skills. Consequently, the AI Associate certification will be phased out to pave the way for new educational opportunities.
With the introduction of Agentblazer Status, you can achieve recognition by progressing through three levels: Champion, Innovator, and Legend. Each level is earned by completing specific modules on Trailhead. Currently, Champion and Innovator statuses are available, with the Legend status expected to launch soon.
Additionally, the Agentforce Specialist certification (formerly known as the AI Specialist) is available for free through the AI for All initiative, providing another excellent avenue to validate your expertise.
Given the announcement of its retirement, it is not advisable to pursue the AI Associate certification at this time. Instead, consider focusing on the new Agentblazer Status and the Agentforce Specialist certification, which will provide a more relevant and future-oriented validation of your skills.
