Salesforce Certification Discounts in 2026: The Honest Guide
by Priscilla Hong, Sep 2026
If you came here looking for a coupon code to knock $100 off your Salesforce Administrator exam — I need to be honest with you first, because you'll find plenty of sites that won't be.
Most of the coupon codes floating around the internet today (including the ones that used to be on this very page) are dead. They died when Salesforce made two big changes: exam delivery moved to Pearson VUE in July 2025, and the long-running Certification Days discount program was officially discontinued. Anyone still advertising "$140 off with code SFCDWSUCCESS" is recycling a list from years ago.
I'm not going to do that to you. Instead, here's what I tell my own students: stop hunting for codes, start hunting for channels. The good news is that there are real, legitimate ways to take Salesforce exams for free or at a steep discount in 2026 — several of them are actually better than a coupon. Let's walk through every one of them, best first.
This is the single biggest money-saver in the entire Salesforce ecosystem, and most people don't know about it. Salesforce currently offers complimentary first attempts on two certifications:
AI-201) — the hands-on AI agents certification. 60 questions, 105 minutes. First attempt is free; only if you don't pass is the retake $100 (versus a normal exam at $200 + tax).Think about the math. A student who earns both of these pays $0 instead of ~$440, walks away with two certifications that are exactly where the Salesforce job market is heading (agentic AI), and builds real momentum toward the Administrator exam. This is why I start almost every mentoring conversation with these two exams.
How to claim it: Register on the official Salesforce certification site and schedule through the exam registration portal — the free first attempt is applied automatically at checkout. No code needed.
If you are a current or former service member, or a military spouse, in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand, the Salesforce Military program is the best deal in tech certifications, full stop:
The program covers 18+ certifications and is valued at over $4,000 — offered at no cost, ever. Eligibility is verified through ID.me / Military Connect. If this applies to you or anyone in your family, sign up before you spend a single dollar on an exam.

Work full-time at a nonprofit organization (or an education institution, in many regions)? Salesforce will give you a 50% discount on any certification exam — that's the Admin exam for $100 instead of $200.
The process is refreshingly low-tech:
[email protected] from your work email address (this is how they verify you).If you're between jobs and doing volunteer work at a nonprofit, ask whether your role qualifies — "full-time employee" is the stated requirement, but the team is genuinely helpful and worth an email.
Here's something I've seen play out dozens of times with students: Salesforce consulting partners and customer companies are frequently sitting on unused exam vouchers.
The magic phrase costs nothing: "I'm currently preparing for my Salesforce Administrator certification — does the team have training budget or vouchers for certifications?" You'll be surprised how often the answer is yes.
Salesforce runs monthly Trailhead Quests — complete a themed set of free Trailhead modules during the month, and you're entered into a raffle for free certification exam vouchers. The odds aren't amazing (thousands enter), but the "cost" is study time you should be doing anyway.
Also worth watching:
Realistic expectations: treat raffles as a bonus, not a plan. If you're relying on winning a raffle to schedule your exam, you'll never schedule your exam.
Salesforce's flagship events have a long history of including certification opportunities:
Tickets aren't cheap, so I don't recommend attending an event just for a voucher. But if you're going anyway, always — always — check the certification offerings before you leave home.
When Salesforce launches a brand-new certification, the first attempt is very often free or discounted for a limited launch window. Recent examples: Agentforce Specialist launched with a free first attempt, and new specialists have followed the same pattern.
This is a genuinely useful strategy for the AI-era certifications — Salesforce wants adoption of its newest products fast, and free exams are how they drive it. If a new certification drops that fits your career path, don't wait for your "perfect moment" to take it. Take it during the launch window while it's free, even if you only just finished studying.
A word from someone who has watched a lot of students take this exam: the most expensive certification is the one you fail. A retake costs $100 and — worse — costs you weeks of momentum and confidence.
Before you spend even one dollar on exam registration, be honest about your readiness:
An extra two weeks of preparation is the cheapest exam discount on this page.
⚠️ Expired code lists. If a site lists codes like SFCDWSUCCESS, SFAMERCERTDAYS, or anything containing "T23"/"C23", those are from 2020–2023 Certification Days events. They don't work. The sites listing them haven't checked.
⚠️ Exam dumps. If someone offers you "real exam questions," run. Using braindumps violates the Salesforce certification agreement and can get your certifications revoked for life — which would make every dollar you saved very expensive indeed.
⚠️ "Voucher sellers" on marketplaces. Vouchers sold cheap on random websites are often purchased with stolen cards or obtained fraudulently. When they get invalidated (and they do), you find out at check-in.
| Your situation | Do this | What you save |
|---|---|---|
| Starting your Salesforce journey | Take AI Associate and Agentforce Specialist — free first attempts | ~$440 |
| Veteran / military spouse (US, CA, UK, AU, NZ) | Join Salesforce Military and complete a career path | 100% + free training |
| Work at a nonprofit | Email [email protected] |
50% off |
| Employed at a partner or customer company | Ask about vouchers / training budget — in writing | Up to 100% |
| Studying for Admin or Developer | Check Focus on Force voucher bundles | Voucher below exam price |
| Already learning on Trailhead | Complete each month's Quest while you study anyway | Free exam (raffle) |
| Planning to attend Dreamforce / Connections | Check on-site certification offerings first | Free or discounted |
The era of typing a coupon code into a checkout box for Salesforce exams is essentially over — and honestly, the replacement system is better. Two certifications are free outright. Veterans get everything free. Nonprofit staff get half off. Your employer probably has budget if you ask. And the practice-materials bundle route quietly beats the exam list price.
So no, I won't be posting coupon codes on this page anymore. I'd rather you spend that energy on the things that actually work. Now close this tab, go spin up a Developer Edition org, and start earning it.
